Our students at Cardinal Newman are at the forefront of computer networking and Information Technology education in the world. As part of the Global Cisco Academy , Cardinal Newman is offering courses that will enhance our student’s opportunities as the next wave of technology approaches.

A revised COMPUTER ENGINEERING course (TEE201) is being offered at Cardinal Newman (Cisco Networking Academy). This offers students more complete training on how to design, build and maintain computers and Internet networks. IMAC and an introduction to MS VISTA have recently been added..

These courses, which feature a high level of hands-on, practical experience to give students real skills in computer networking, include the following:

TEE2O1 (Grade 10) I.T. Information Technology provides PC hardware and software skills linked to network operating systems.

·ICE3M1 (Grade 11) CCNA Part 1, Introduction to Networks

·ICE4M1 (Grade 12) CCNA Part 2, Networking

These courses may be used at the post-secondary level, as part of the students program.

 

Last June our latest group received their CCNA part I Certification. They were Ashley Hariraj, Erik Doyle, Iain Davies, Kaitlyn Van Grunsven, Matt Ferrari, Mike Kapelko,and Mike D’Ascenzo.
