NEWS FROM THE CO-INSTRUCTIONAL DEPT.
Congratulations to the Girls Basketball, Boys Volleyball, Girls Field Hockey, Boys and Girls Cross Country and Boys Football teams for a great start to another exciting school year. Our volunteer teacher-coaches put many hours into the planning of practices and games and are always appreciative of the effort put forth by our student-athletes.
Our Newman teams are doing well in the winter sports. Jessica White has already carded two first place finishes in swimming. The girls volleyball teams are in 1st and/or 2nd place in the standings while our boys basketball teams and the boys hockey team are all in contention for playoff spots. Our girls hockey team is showing great improvement since last season. We also have boys and girls indoor soccer teams added to the line up this winter. Our cheerleading squad is one of the best so far and dedicate many hours a week for the entire school year. Their involvement in school sports are always appreciated and enjoyed. A special congratulations to our Junior Boys Volleyball team who were the league finalists this past fall.
NEWS FROM THE HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPT.
