Principal’s
Message
The principal and staff of Our
Lady of Lourdes School wish you a happy and successful
school year. We look forward to a year of worship and prayer, academic
challenges, extra-curricular fun, and participation in the many special
events that happen year round.
Try to make a special effort to be the very best that you
can be in all that you do at Our Lady of Lourdes. As a Catholic School Community, we acknowledge:
- the
centrality of Jesus Christ in our lives;
- the
freedom and dignity of the individual;
- justice
and sensitivity as central to all relationships and,
- all
children can learn.
When home and school work co-operatively to
establish values which are compatible with the teachings of our Catholic
Church, the students will develop an awareness of the rights and worth of all
people.
While the school plays an important role in the formation
of the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of
its students, parents are seen as the prime educators. It is the example of the parents, the
goal setting, the guidance, and the daily monitoring by parents that provides
the basis of a child’s self-discipline and attitude. The staff at Lourdes is
always available to work with parents and students to ensure that each child
is given the opportunity to reach his potential.
In order to best meet the needs of our children we must
strive for open communication that is constructive in nature. We need to build on our successes and
make improvements where they are necessary.
In closing, on behalf of all the staff, we wish and pray
that God’s blessing is upon you and your family and that this year at Our
Lady of Lourdes School is one of the best ever.

to all who seek your aid. I now consecrate my life to you under your title of
Our Lady of Lourdes, and ask you confidently to secure for me and for all who
implore your mercy the blessings we stand most in need of. We ask your aid
through your divine Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
